Greet The Day programs complement conventional medical care, and have provided thousands of professional volunteer hours of massage and bodywork for people with cancer.

Massage and bodywork therapies  are increasingly being used, both in and outside of the clinical center setting, to improve quality of life and experience of treatment for people with cancer.

Clinical research supports the use of therapeutic massage in reducing pain, anxiety, constipation, fatigue and nausea; research evidence also shows evidence of increased serotonin and dopamine values, and improved immune system function.

Spa Day Retreat

Actually, what was most amazing was that people would be so kind and generous in extending such care to strangers. You have helped heal the heart as well as touched the body. D.O.

Thank you for a moment’s peace in the chaos of cancer. M.J.

One of the unexpected aspects of cancer is how very much a simple touch results in constant unremitting pain. The cancer patient has to slowly build back to that trust that a touch will feel good again. Imagine what a sweet and strong experience to feel the warmth and power of your hands – and instead of pain, I felt euphoric, relaxed and hopeful. I feel so wonderful that your generosity will benefit so many who yearn for just a moment’s peace from the pain. Thank you. S.B.

It is so easy to get caught up in daily routine and cancer stress that I rarely take the time to relax, rejuvenate and most important, focus on healing! The yoga class, facial, and lunch you provided were “just what the doctor ordered” and an experience that I will treasure. J.B.
